The Knit-a-thon has just finished so we would like to say a very big Thank You to all who got involved. We will be sending a box of completed toys up to Kidney Kids in two weeks time so let us know if you would like your toys to be included.
Kidney Kids is a parent driven organisation set up to meet the needs of children, and the families of children, who have kidney disorders.
They offer kids and their families emotional support from other parents who have "been there", information on their child’s condition, social occasions, and education evenings where they can meet a specialist to talk to about their child’s condition. Kidney Kids support children from newborn to age 18.
Crafty m.e. has got involved to knit soft toys for the kids who can't always play outside in the say way healthy kids can. We knitted a range of designs and patterns so that there was variety for beginner and experienced knitters, as each child will like a different style of toy.
The knit-a-thon only ran during July but you can knit for the kids all through the year.
